Meet the Team Behind The Play

The people who make it happen

Meet the Team

Our team brings together many years of experience working with children, young people and families. Between us, we have backgrounds in education, youth work, community development and play provision, including experience working in schools and alongside specialist SEND services.

We are passionate about creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where every child and young person feels valued, supported and able to thrive. Many of our team have worked closely with families navigating additional needs, rural isolation and transition into adulthood, and understand the importance of patience, flexibility and genuine connection.

At Play Radnor, we believe that positive relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our staff and volunteers are committed to supporting children and young people to build confidence, develop skills and enjoy meaningful opportunities to play, learn and thrive.

ANNE

- Administrator

Hi, I'm Anne. I am Play Radnor's administrator. I’m responsible for keeping our day‑to‑day operations running smoothly and ensuring colleagues and visitors feel supported. I like the variety that working for a small play charity allows. Previously I worked in the creative sector and I like to think I've brought some of that creativity to my role here. I grew up in Llandrindod and now raise my four children here. Being rooted in this community and contributing to its life - both professionally and personally - is something I value deeply.

CRAIG

- Youth Club, Messy Play Worker and Play Ranger

Hi, My name is Craig. I've lived in Wales for most of my life and wouldn't choose anywhere else! I'm a father to four great children, from 6 - 13 years. I've run many sessions at Play Radnor / Chwarae Maesyfed involving woodwork, outdoor play and many, many messy play sessions. I'm the biggest kid and love to get involved. I'd do anything for anyone and I'm always ready with a joke or two!

RACHEL

Hello, I'm Rachel and I have been the manager at Play Radnor / Chwarae Maesyfed since 2017. I have worked with children and young people for many years in a variety of settings, mainly within the third sector. I love working with the charity and feel passionately that all children, young people and their families should have access to high quality play and leisure opportunities. No day at work is ever the same and we are lucky to have such a great team of dedicated staff who care about the children, young people and families that we work with.

Toni

- Finance and Data Outcomes Office

Hello, I'm Toni. I have worked at Play Radnor for five years. I look after the day-to-day finances and our project data - helping to show the difference our work makes to the children and families in the community. My connection with the charity is a personal one as my family used the services for several years before I joined. Thumbs Up - a group for children with additional needs - was a 'lifeline' for our family when we needed it. That experience means a lot to me and makes the work I do even more meaningful. Outside of work I love everything creative - especially crafts and cooking - and enjoy spending time with family. I am really proud to be a part of the Play Radnor team that supports children and families in our community.
